ATPL Flight Navigation General: April 2021 (Waypoints PilotBooks)

This manual is written to provide the knowledge required by candidates for the New Zealand Airline Transport Pilot Licence in Flight Navigation General (Aeroplane and Helicopter), AC61.7 syllabus number 38. This syllabus is primarily based on regional/oceanic/global IFR navigation, as applicable to navigating a multi-engined turbine air transport type aeroplane or IFR capable turbine engined helicopter. The CAA syllabus, our textbook and the ASPEQ examination content presupposes a knowledge and understanding already attained at PPL/CPL/IR levels.There are many aspects of navigation which overlap between the Commercial Pilot Licence level and the Air Transport Pilot Licence level syllabuses.
