The Big Zip EVO is Platypus's most refined hydration reservoir, built around meaningfully improved flow and a set of practical features that make filling, sealing, and drinking noticeably easier than older reservoir designs. The wide SlideLock closure opens in both directions for fast filling, and the Pincher Grip lets you manage it one-handed when your other hand is occupied. The high-mount quick-disconnect keeps the drink tube connection accessible near the top of your pack rather than buried at the bottom, and the larger 5/16" drink tube paired with the HyFLO bite valve delivers a stronger flow than previous Platypus reservoirs.

A semi-rigid centre baffle keeps the reservoir from collapsing awkwardly inside your pack and makes drying it out after a trip considerably less frustrating. Embedded silver-ion technology actively protects the water inside from mould and bacteria between uses, which matters when your reservoir spends time in a warm pack. All materials are certified taste-free, BPA-free, BPS-free, and phthalate-free.
